A first-of-its-kind nonprofit music + arts festival with the mission to galvanize & educate young voters. The inaugural festival in Raleigh (Sep 2024) featured Janelle Monae, Tierra Whack, Moses Sumney, Helado Negro + more, raising funds for organizations working to protect abortion access and civil liberties in North Carolina.

Andrew Bird partnered with Everytown for Gun Safety on a multi-faceted campaign to raise awareness and funds for gun violence prevention through music, touring, and film. The collaboration included benefit tour initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and the powerful short film for “Pulaski at Night,” using art and storytelling to spotlight the emotional toll of gun violence in America.

Benefit compilation created in partnership with NOISE FOR NOW and Artist Rights Alliance, featuring exclusive tracks from artists including Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Andrew Bird, CAKE, and Trousdale. Released in 2024 as an artistic response to Project 2025, the compilation raised funds and awareness for reproductive rights organizations while using music to advocate for bodily autonomy, freedom, and social justice.

Collective co-founded by Tift Merritt as part of the Bass Connections project Archives and Creative Process: Blues Women and Rosetta Records. The initiative explores how to care for and activate the musical legacy of Rosetta Records, founded by Rosetta Reitz, while using performance and storytelling as a form of care and resistance that challenges inequities in the music industry and expands how cultural history is preserved and shared.

Presented at Big Ears Festival, SUSS’s Across the Horizon is a curated live program exploring the space where Americana and ambient music converge. Developed with Bob Holmes, the series brings together artists who blend organic instrumentation with expansive, immersive sound design, creating performances that feel both rooted and otherworldly within Big Ears’ broader spirit of boundary-pushing music presentation.

The Spark with Tift Merritt is a conversation series hosted by Tift Merritt that explores the realities of artistic practice beyond the stage, focusing on the courage, discipline, and lived experience behind creative work. Presented in partnership with Marfa Texas Public Radio and UNC’s Carolina Performing Arts, the series features in-depth, process-focused conversations with guests including Wynton Marsalis, Roseanne Cash, Nick Hornby, Rhiannon Giddens, and John Grisham.

A philanthropic initiative created by Andrew Bird to provide financial support to organizations working across social and environmental causes. Established in 2022, the fund has supported efforts in gun violence prevention, environmental justice, access to music education for underserved communities, and the preservation of wild spaces and public parklands.

Ahem! with Andrew Bird is an ongoing Substack series that explores music, ideas, and creative practice through Bird’s perspective as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. The Gables is a creative retreat and boutique hotel in Raleigh developed by Tift Merritt and Daniel Robinson. Envisioned as a sanctuary for artists, travelers, and community gatherings, the space blends Southern warmth and design with a mission to foster creativity through recording retreats, writing weekends, and artistic collaborations.

Simone Dinnerstein’s Mozart in Havana, released by Sony Classical in 2017, brought together the pianist and Cuba’s Havana Lyceum Orchestra for a landmark recording that celebrated artistic collaboration across cultural boundaries. Praised for its emotional depth and sense of connection, the project highlighted the extraordinary talent of Cuba’s young classical musicians and music’s unique ability to bridge divides.
